There are many reasons to hire a professional genealogist. Perhaps you don’t have the time or desire to do your own research. Maybe you’ve hit a “brick wall” and need help from someone with specific skills and expertise. Or maybe you just need a little help getting unstuck with your own research. Let’s see if I can help!
Research
Do you have a family history mystery that you want to be solved? Let me assess your goal, develop and execute a research plan, and help you determine the next steps. This project typically includes a minimum of 10 hours of genealogical services plus expenses. A digital report with exhibits will be provided (may be provided on paper in a binder by request).

Coaching
Doing your own genealogy research is fun and rewarding! But it can also be frustrating if you hit a “brick wall” and are unsure of what to do next. I can help you get your research on track for success with a personal coaching session. After an initial 1-on-1 consultation, we will formulate a research plan and next steps for you to follow.

Document Retrieval
Do you need a document from a library, archive, courthouse, or genealogical society in Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo County? Contact me for a search of vital records, probate records, city directories, newspapers, or other local collections.
