Let’s Find Solutions to Family History Problems

We all have genealogy brick walls.

Some of us also have issues with organizing our genealogy files (paper and digital), old media that needs digitizing, and kids, teens, and family members who could care less about family history.

Wouldn’t it be great if we could put our heads together and share our solutions to these (and other) family history problems?

Now we can!

Show Us How You Did It

This month, tell and/or show how you found a solution to a genealogy-related problem. Examples include (but are not limited to): How you…

  • identified someone in an old photo;
  • digitized old media;
  • connected with living cousins or family members;
  • recorded Grandpa’s life stories;
  • baked your ancestor’s special recipe or meal;
  • planned a family reunion;
  • solved a problem using software, hardware, or other technology;
  • organized your family history documents and/or photos;
  • got your kids or teens interested in genealogy;
  • used DNA to solve a relationship problem;
  • broke down a brick wall (i.e., case studies).

Be creative! Perhaps your story will help another family historian who is looking for a similar solution.
